Born in Neaples in 1989, Claudio Zazzaro is currently a singing student at the Music Conservatoire of Florence under the guidance of Donatella Debolini, and followed masterclasses with Claudio Desderi.
During the first year of his singing study, he had the opportunity to make important experiences: he figured in the choir in Mozart’s Don Giovanni at the Liszt Academy in Budapest (set up by the Florence Conservatory); in the same year, he was selected as tenor soloist in Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy at Teatro Verdi in Florence, under the baton of Paolo Ponziano Ciardi.
He later obtained the part of Beppo in Auber’s Fra Diavolo at Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in 2016, getting a good response from the critics.
In October 2016, he made his debut as Don Basilio in Le Nozze di Figaro at Theater Bonci in Cesena under the baton of Claudio Desderi, directed by Matelda Cappelletti.
After being selected for the project LTL Opera Studio 2017, he made his debut as Fadinard in Il Cappello di Paglia di Firenze by Nino Rota in the Theaters of Pisa, Lucca and Livorno, under the baton of Francesco Pasqualetti and Lorenzo Mucci as stage director.
He then sang Gelindo in L’impresario in angustie by Domenico Cimarosa at Cantiere Montepulciano 2018 under Roland Bӧer and directed by Caterina Panti Liberovici.
In September 2018, he has been engaged as Gastone in La Traviata in Florence Teatro del Maggio for the Verdi Trilogy opening season under Fabio Luisi, production by Francesco Micheli.
